Aspire Software is looking for a Senior Synon Software Developer ( Hybrid Position ) to join Aspire team in Lebanon.

What your day will look like:

• Provide Business Analysis, Design and Development expertise using SYNON, RPG/ILE, and CL, for our software solution.
• Become a subject matter expert in the  software solution, with emphasis on various areas of the system, including our PTF packaging tools and software development toolkit itself.
• Learn and quickly master new product functionality.
• Receive and respond to internal and external customer requests for assistance, and work with them to clearly solve problems, gathering the information required for problem resolution and escalation if required.
• Create active conversations with customers to ensure mutual understanding of the issues and to assure them that their problem has our attention.
• Conduct online and product training for internal customers.
• Assist the implementation team with enhancement requests, requirement reviews, integration requirements, and peer testing and testing documentation.
• Clearly define and document business requirements and solutions.

About you:

• Passion for learning and mastering complex system functionality.
• 3+ years previous experience in a SYNON development position, focused on any of the following areas: accounting systems, development tools, truck rental or leasing systems, fleet maintenance systems.
• Excellent communication, organization and time management skills are required.
• Experience working with modular, integrated software applications.
• Ability to use independent judgment to initiate and execute tasks with the emphasis on quality and timeliness of delivery.
• Proven ability to work with external customers to gather and understand their needs.
• Familiarity with reporting design/BI tools is a plus.
• Advanced SQL knowledge is a major plus, including embedded SQL (SQLRPGLE).
• Excellent problem-solving skills are required.
• Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training, and the flexibility to adapt to a changing environment.
• Demonstrate initiative and flexibility, and provide complete follow-through in areas of responsibility.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently on projects, tasks, and assignments with limited supervision.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.
• Proficient English writing and speaking skills.
