Description

Position Summary

This position conducts testing on software, websites, and other technical products produced by Alliance to identify and resolve bugs, defects, and other potential issues. This position works under moderate supervision and has full proficiency in a specific area of discipline.

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and modify simple to moderately complex test plans
  • Work with cross-team staff to ensure that requirements are well understood
  • Reviews design specifications to understand the scope, requirements, and function of the software product with team members
  • Identify appropriate parameters, functions, and data to test and validate; parameters may include general function, validity of results, accuracy, reliability, and compliance with industry standards
  • Conduct testing to ensure products perform according to user requirements and within established guidelines
  • Identify, log, and recreate error codes, bugs, and defects
  • Report defects to programmers when a product does not perform within specifications
  • Contribute to team objectives

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent years of experience
  • 3+ years’ experience

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Technical documentation experience a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Operation of a computer and typical office machinery
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
